101 Life Changing Affirmations that will radically change your life.

What is spirit and how can it heal nearly anything?

We all hear this word spirit or spirituality, I often ask myself what really does it means and how is it so intricately tied to our health.

I would like to attempt to define spirit by utilizing some other words which represent what spirit is.

Spirit also has many names that portray what it may be , here are some of them: The God within, Intuition, Natural Knowing, Creative Natural Intelligence.

Our spirit is the energy of creation that is downloaded to each and every one of us from our creation process to birth.

It is that power, force and intelligence that takes a sperm and an egg and divides trillions of times to create human life.

We are all blue prints of creation, a seeming endless data bank of information downloaded into us from our beginning.

Did you know that if all the knowledge was extracted out of our DNA that it would completely fill up the tallest building in the world with computers?

That is how much intelligence is downloaded to you at birth (and with that intelligence is a life purpose that is individual to YOU!)

So, how can our spirit heal nearly anything?

Within us is the soul of the whole, the wise silence, the universal beauty, the    eternal One

     Ralph Waldo Emerson

So, how does connecting to our spirit, our god within affect our health?

The more we are able to hear it, listen to its true voice and take action, we are in alignment with innate intelligence and life proceeds effortlessly. When we do not hear (ignore) and do not follow, our lives create disharmony, discomfort and dis-ease.

Our spirit or natural, innate intelligence has not only the answer to everything we need to know but knows exactly what to do. Take for example animals, a mother giving birth. This animal receives no training, no education or class on birthing, they just know and they just do!

Each and every human is actually a genius as we all come from the same dna. The difference between one person to the next is how they choice to conduct their lives. It is as if we have two intelligences, our mind which is open to interpret as it sees fit and our god given intelligence which has the answer to nearly everything

We are the same in that fashion with one difference, we have a mind that can interfere with our own natural intelligence, our god within. They are two different operating systems

Your body knows  how to heal itself , its capacities are nearly limitless and all you to do to is to study the tens of thousands of cases of people who were told they had an incurable illness, that they would die shortly and they live for decades vibrantly.

So why is it so hard to listen, to hear our god within?

Here are some of the main reasons that interfere with our ability to hear our god within:

  1. Busy lives, Cluttered Minds
  2. Technology Distractions
  3. Beliefs that interfere with hearing our quiet voice
  4. Do not know your spirit exists

Our responsibility is to connect to this almighty power , force within and take action. When we do, you will be amazed at the results. You will succeed at everything you do.

In our next email we will discuss how to connect deeper to our spirit.

Yours in vibrant health,

This one thing is involved in more health issues than any other, and we all have it!

It causes, allergies, auto immune disorders, depression and linked to cancer. And every one of us has it to some degree! As discussed in Part 1 Yeast fungus and health, we learned that every one of us has yeast in our body as it serves an important function in our mouth and gut to aid in the digestive process. What most do not know is there is a large percentage of our population that has yeast over growth. In severe cases, it is called Candida and it can wreak havoc on our health, more than any other one factor we know of. It is yeast over growth causes a condition called Leaky gut and this is where so many of our health problems begin. It could be responsible for contributing to more than 60% of our health issues.

Common Symptoms and Diseases of Candida

It is crucial in order to manage our health to understand how to manage your yeast fungus in your body. Here are a few of the key symptoms/diseases that are caused by Candida and Leaky Gut. 1) Brain fog 2) Food sensitivities 3) Food Allergies 4) Irritability and Depression 5) Pain and Inflammation lower back, neck, shoulders 6) Auto Immune Disorders 7) Digestive Issues such as gas, bloating and loose stools 8) Exhaustion and tired all the time 9) Skin issues 10) Poor concentration and memory 11) Sugar cravings

Candida causes Leaky Gut?

Leaky gut is a condition in which little tiny holes are created (by the fungus) in the lining of your intestine (small) which allows for the fungus to travel to other parts of the body through the blood and colonize. Leaky gut may be responsible for more health issues than any other condition in the medical world. What truly is amazing is that very few know of the condition and how to treat it. The problem with Leaky Gut, is that the yeasts get everywhere. While they might start off in your gut, they soon pass into the blood stream and colonize throughout the body. Candida makesalcohol as a by-product of their very existence which initially causes brain fog, a key symptom of Candida.

Main Causes of Candida

  • Eating a diet high in refined carbohydrates and sugar(which feed the yeast).
  • Consuming a lot of alcohol
  • Taking oral contraceptives.
  • Living a high-stress lifestyle.
  • Taking too many antibiotics that kill many of our friendly bacteria

How to test for Candida

  1. Blood test
  2. You’ll want to check your levels for IgG, IgA, and IgM candida anti-bodies. These can be checked through most any lab. High levels indicate an overgrowth of candida. It is possible that these can often be negative even when the stool or urine test is positive.

  3. Stool testing
  4. I find this to be the most accurate test available. This will check for candida in your colon or lower intestines. The lab can usually determine the species of yeast as well as which treatment will be affective. (Note: be sure that your doctor orders a comprehensive stool test rather than the standard stool test.)

  5. UrineOrganixDysbiosis Test
  6. This test detects a waste product of Candida yeast overgrowth known as D-Arabinitol. An elevated test means an overgrowth of candida. This test will determine if there is candida in your upper gut or small intestines.

How to take control NOW: Three steps

Effectively treating candida involves stopping the yeast overgrowth, restoring the friendly bacteria that usually keep them in check, and healing your gut so that candida can no longer enter your bloodstream.

Killing Yeast:

  1. Diet Modification: Getting rid of the candida overgrowth primarily requires a change in diet to a low carbohydrate diet. Sugar is what feeds yeast, so eliminating sugar in all of its simple forms like candy, desserts, alcohol and flours.
  2. Reducing to only one cup a day of the more complex carbohydrates such as grains, beans, fruit, bread, pasta, and potatoes will prevent the Candida from growing and eventually cause it to die.
  3. Take Anti-Yeast supplement or drugs: Using diet alone could take three to six months before the candida is back under control. Because of this, using an anti-fungal medication such as Diflucan or Nyastatin for a month or longer. If you are self-treating you can take a supplement of caprylic acid.Caprylic Acid comes from coconut oil and basically “pokes holes” in the yeast cell wall, causing it to die.

Restoring Healthy Bacteria

  • Enteric coated : to protect the probiotics while traveling to the colon
  • Time Released: to allow for the greatest number to populate in the colon
  • Mult- Strain of probiotics:: more bugs, the stronger the digestive tract.

I have recently found one probiotic that is in its own league and a technological breakthrough of which I will write about next week.

Repair Lining of Intestine

  1. L-Glutamine
  2. L-Glutamine is an amino acid that is fundamental to the well-being of the digestive and immune systems. Glutamine is great for repairing damage to the gut, helping the gut lining to regrow and repair, undoing the damage caused by leaky gut, and reducing sugar cravings. I recommend 3-5 grams a day.

  3. Digestive Enzymes
  4. Digestive enzymes are plant or microbial-based supplements that support the breakdown, absorption, and utilization of macronutrients. Taken with meals, they work with the body’s own reduced supply of enzymes to achieve maximum digestion and support intestinal repair mechanisms.

  5. Betaine Hydrochloric Acid (HCL)
  6. Betaine hydrochloride (HCL) promotes optimal gastric acidity for support of protein digestion and absorption of minerals and other nutrients such as vitamin B12. There is simple at home test you can do to see if you have low stomach acid and are in need of HCL replacement. Begin to eat a meal and ⅓ of the way into your meal take 650 mg of HCL and then finish your meal. If you experience heartburn, you have sufficient levels of HCL. If you do not experience any burning sensation in your upper abdomen, then you likely would benefit from HCL at each meal.

  7. Slippery Elm
  8. It might have kind of a strange name, but slippery elm has been used as an effective gut healer for centuries in the United States. This supplement both contains mucilage and stimulates nerve endings in the body’s intestinal tract to increase natural mucus secretion, which is an instrumental part of the stomach’s protective lining and helps combat ulcers and excessive acidity in the digestive system. It also contains important antioxidants that help relieve inflammatory bowel symptoms

  9. Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice (DGL)
  10. DGL is an herb that has been used for over 3,000 years in the treatment of digestive issues including ulcers and indigestion. It’s made from whole licorice, but the manufacturing process includes the removal of glycyrrhizin, which can cause an elevation in blood pressure. DGL supports the body’s natural processes for maintaining the mucosal lining of the stomach and duodenum.

  11. Marshmallow Root
  12. Marshmallow root is a multipurpose supplement that can be used for respiratory or digestive relief. Like slippery elm, it contains a high mucilage content. It eases the inflammation in the stomach lining, heals ulcers, and treats both diarrhea and constipation by creating a protective lining on the digestive tract.

Dr. Bernie Siegel, M.D.

Absolutely everything that happens in our lives has a spiritual cause. Mental, emotional and physical events are only effects. Your body has a healing order of priority, and the spiritual always comes first. Your body stores your life’s memories. When you focus on what is wrong you wound your body and empower your enemy. When you focus on life and living, miracles happen.

Bernie’s writings in the 12 books he has published so far reflect his passion to reach people struggling with all of life’s challenges—not just the physical ones—so that each person can live life fully with the understanding that, as Bernie reminds us, “We only have today”. Believing that we are all here to love one another, Bernie has crafted eternal truths and the timeless wisdom of the ages into his reflections on the true stories of his patients in much of his work.

In May 2011, Bernie was honored by the Watkins Review of London, England, as one of the Top 20 Spiritually Influential Living People on the Planet.

Marianne Williamson

“We know there are people who were told they are going to die within a week who live for another 30 or 40 more years… We do have documented cases where there is a seemingly miraculous cessation of symptoms. And we know these things happen. We know that there are people who were told that they are going to die within a week who live for another 30 or 40 more years. So I think sometimes we think about and study a little bit too much the places where it goes the way we have heard about going in many people, and perhaps we don’t study enough: What happened in that place where a miracle occurred?”

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed author and lecturer. Six of her ten published books have been New York Times Best Sellers. Four of these have been #1 New York Times Best Sellers. A Return to Love is considered a must-read of The New Spirituality.

A paragraph from that book, begins, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure”. Williamson speaks often on the subject of how shifts in thinking from fear to love make all the difference in how we live and how we feel. Learning to think differently—to stand psychologically and emotionally.

Dr. Joel Fuhrman M.D.

“We put our finger on the primary factors that creates the disease but people have the right to know it.”

“I have spent almost all my waking hours reading everything from the site of literature on human nutrition, probably read over 20,000 medical journal articles. And the bottom line is you don’t have to have a heart attack, you don’t have to have strokes, you don’t have to get demented when you get older and yes we can even win the war against cancer.”

Joel Fuhrman, M.D. is a board-certified family physician, and nutritional researcher, who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional and natural methods. He is the author of seven books including a New York Times best-seller. Bruce H. Lipton Phd

“How much do genes contribute to the diseases in our world? It turns out far less than 10 per cent. Probably even less than five per cent. So wait, if genes are only responsible for five, at most 10 per cent of the illness on our planet, what about the other 90 per cent of the illness? And the answer is that it has nothing to do with genes and has everything to do with…”

Bruce Lipton is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. One of the first to conduct stem cell research, a biologist, best-selling author of The Biology of Belief and recipient of the 2009 Goi Peace Award, he has been a guest speaker on hundreds of TV and radio shows, as well as keynote presenter for national and international conference.

His discoveries, which ran counter to the established scientific view that life is controlled by the genes, presaged one of today’s most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics. Two major scientific publications derived from these studies defined the molecular pathways connecting the mind and body. Many subsequent papers by other researchers have since validated his concepts and ideas.

His deepened understanding of cell biology highlighted the mechanisms by which the mind controls bodily functions.
